[SUPER] Tripping on Acid

[SUPER] Tripping on Acid
That's right! we are starting off strong. Putting the best foot forward!!
So this is how the story goes
Sometime wayyyy back in Y2k (or 2000 for those not in the loop) we have this girl (who was 15 at the time), and her 19 friends at a party.....Well what do you do at parties? Get messed up! and that is what happned, gee what a shocker..... Her and her friends were given a dose 10 times stronger their dealer intended and most certainly what they bargained for! hahaha,
"due to a bit of a decimal place whoopsie. The 20 people were supposed to be given a 100 micrograms dose (what is considered a normal recreational dose) but were given 1,000 mcg in liquid form."
**Cue the Geralt F**K memes

"Once she'd drunk her glass, she also drank the 'leftover drops' from two other glasses."
^This is def where you fucked up, on top of the series of unfortunate events proceeding that

Well APPARENTLY IT CURED HER BI-POLAR DISORDER!

Here's a testimonaial from the IFLS article:

Reports from others around her say that her behavior for the next 6.5 hours was "erratic". After this, people believed she had had a seizure as she was lying down in the fetal position with her fists tightly clenched, and an ambulance was called. However, "it was unclear whether she had a loss of consciousness or whether she was intensely preoccupied with her experience at the time," the authors write.
Visiting her in hospital, her father reports that she told him "it's over", which he believed to mean her trip. She later clarified she had meant her bipolar disorder.
Bearing in mind you can't extrapolate too much from one incident, her therapists reported significant improvements in her symptoms following the overdose. Over the course of several years they described her as “entirely stable at present” and though she had come off lithium, which created more mood instability, she showed "no evidence of clinical hypomania or depression”. She self-reported that she was free from mental illness symptoms for the next 13 years, until she experienced post-partum depression after the birth of her children.

Hoffman's Potion- a nifty youtube DOC

First off I want to assert my viewpoint in this argument: I'm all for psychedelics. Not for their overuse (because that leads to very dangerous things for your mind), but their spiritual potential. I've done mushrooms (psilocybin cubensis to be exact) more than a few times and I've had nothing but profound experiences. Even the 1 bad trip I had was an eye-opening subconscious journey. But this is a cool documentary that I'd like to promote and it is about the creator of LSD Albert Hoffman

"I had to struggle to speak intelligibly. I asked my laboratory assistant, who was informed of the self-experiment, to escort me home. We went by bicycle, no automobile being available because of wartime restrictions on their use. On the way home, my condition began to assume threatening forms. Everything in my field of vision wavered and was distorted as if seen in a curved mirror. I also had the sensation of being unable to move from the spot. Nevertheless, my assistant later told me that we had traveled very rapidly. Finally, we arrived at home safe and sound, and I was just barely capable of asking my companion to summon our family doctor and request milk from the neighbors.”
