Just saw X-men: Dofp........ and very much enjoyed it

Nancy, Nathan and I just got back from seeing X-men: Days of future past......my god...... AWESOME. First off, I'd like to point out that I'm currently eating my words about Quicksilver, yeah he looks like something out of a sisco music video but damn is his part in the movie the coolest. Magneto... Tragic Hero. Charles Xavier.... Hero on a path of self-pity (after the events of X-men First class). It is gritty too, in the bleak future the X-men get killed off one by one in gruesome fashions. I'm not going to give anything away EXCEPT this: Banshee, Pixie (or Angel.....psh its not angel), Azazel, and Emma Frost were all killed between First Class and Days of future past. Mystique found out that they had been captured and tortured because of their unique abilities. That's horrible......and they got mugshots of their autopsys.....morbid. All in all I'd say DofP is the best if not second best X-men movie (hands down). If you do go and see the movie ask yourself this question: Is the person in the opening scene an alternate timeline Cable?

One thing though..... Just like it was cheesy when they put the 'juggernaut bitch' gag into X-3 I lost my sH!t and cracked up uncontrollably when Mystique (and I'm sure they didn't do this on purpose) was getting mind controlled by Xavier and she utters "Get outta my head charles"

This just in: Channing Tatum to kinetically charge his next striptease

When Ben Affleck was cast as Batman, I became nervous. When Jesse Eisenberg was cast a Lex Luther, I was strangely O.k. with it (what? I can see him playing a young lex). But the news that came out of left field, a month ago as a rumor, has now become reality..... CHANNING TATUM IS GAMBIT

I confirmation came at a totally random time too. I mean I was just perusing the articles on my normal news sites (SHH, IWS, Geekologie) and 1st I come across the unveiled new BATMOBILE (with surprise bonus -Affleck-finally-suiting-up-action..... More on that later BTW)  which looks really amazing then I see the above picture and I'm taken aghast.

I still don't know how I feel about this one..... On one hand I like Channing Tatum's work and I think he could pull it off...... Then on the other hand I'm thinking this is Topher Grace as Venom but backwards, this was casting Heath Ledger as the joker (although I am proudly wrong about that one.... I will admit) this is like making Sandman float away in a cloud of forgiveness.

Here's what SuperHeroHypes's Article had to say (by the way you can click that link.....in case you didn't know):

Following the reveal this morning that Channing Tatum will play the X-Men character Gambit, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that he will in fact debut in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse right before appearing in his own solo spin-off film.
Though no writer or director have been attached to the project, it's possible that "Gambit" could be the "Untitled FOX Marvel Movie" which is currently set for release on July 18, 2018. Check back for more information on the project as we learn it. What do you think of Tatum's casting as Gambit?

Saweeeeeeeet: Days of Future Past to cream jeans (or something like that)

awwwww man I'm pumped (yet again).... Days of Future PAst is shaping up to be the BEST x-men movie yet. Sentinels, Wolverine, time travel, Kitty pride, galore! I just got done reading an article over at SUPERHEROHYPE.com about DOFP and Hugh Jackman had something to say!

"I know, having sat at Comic-Con on that panel with that extraordinary cast, I keep saying it's like two movies in one, but with the size of it it's really three in one. It really is going to blow people away because of the story. Bryan Singer, I think, is going to become the first director to make increasingly better movies in a franchise, I'm not sure if there's anyone else that's done it." -Hugh Jackman

awwww Snap: More X-men tidbits

SUPERHEROHYPE just released an article with this nice little blueprint
for a sentinel for the upcoming X-men Movie 'Days of future past'

"in 1973, Trask Industries introduced the first Sentinel production model, the Mark I. Bolivar Trask’s groundbreaking research in AI, robotics and autonomous ballistic systems laid the foundation for the world's most capable anti-mutant defense system. Since the program's inception, we’ve continued to advance our founder's cause through eight additional generational upgrades and enhancements.

As we celebrate five decades of achievement, we also bid farewell to regular production of the Mark I and shift our efforts to full-time manufacturing of the Mark X — our first complete overhaul of the Sentinel line. These highly anticipated units will combine next-generation nanotechnology and bioweapon breakthroughs, promising an even brighter future for the human race."

X-men ARE REAL! (I call being Gambit): Girl confirmed unanimously by scientists has X-ray Eyes

I'm not shitting you on this one (Well I haven't pulled any legs recently, so you have no reason to mistrust me.....although be skeptical, that's just smart) but the mutant gene MAY be real.....
That's right guys and gals, a 17 year old russian girl name Natasha Demkina possess X-ray vision. Although it probably isn't what you think it is, it is still freaking amazing! Oh and she can sometimes diagnose people before them, their doctor, or medical science would even have a clue (although those kind of results aren't typical)

Read on if you are intrigued (and you know you are baby ;-) wink)

Fanboy Theory: I'm calling it. Wolverine is cable for the X-men: Days of future past

SchWHAT!? you say... and I say YES! (well possibly, I don't KNOW per se but I can damn sure speculate) I'm calling it: Wolverine is going to play cable in the upcoming X-men flick.

So let me preface this with an introduction paragraph, laying the scene, having seemingly nothing to do with the theory at hand but still...
So I saw 'The Wolverine' this morning with my buddy Jeff and although this article won't be about that movie I will say that I enjoyed the movie for what it was and without giving away ANY spoilers I will say that, if my theory holds true, all of my gripes with the movie and the X-men franchise in general (particularly and primarily Wolverine: Origins) will be rewritten and fixed with Bryan Singer's re-entry into a saga he help create and launch.

I would also like to add that this theory came spur of the moment, in a conversation with my bestfriend Nathan, and will likely contain some holes in which I'll have to revisit in the future to readjust my foundations. so if you see any inconsistencies please point them out but don't be douchy or nit-picky about it.

so without further ado here we go (read on to find out):

Sentinels invade comic con!

The San Diego Comic-Con has been in full (and when I say full I mean 'FULL') Swing alllll weekend long with soooo many tid-bits a surprises. All of Marvel Phase 2 (Captain America: The Winder Soldier, Thor: The Dark World, and Guardians of the galaxy we're all discussed and FAQ'd and footage was shown.

Now at this time (usually happens this way, shit I didn't get the AntMan footage til forever after comic-con) there isn't much in terms of movie footage but interviews GALORE are up at SuperHeroHype's coverage of the SDCC.

For me, right now the coolest things unveiled are: A) The picture of the Sentinels with the Trask logo in the BG and the announcement of the title for the next Avengers movie- "Avengers: The age of Ultron!"
