I love satire. I just love comedy in general, you can tell the truth while being funny or at the very least while not being so grizzly about it. I also love how you can use satire to point out the outrageous-ness of things. So with that spirit in mind I have for you a couple of my favorite articles that have circulated their way to me in the last week or two
#1. Gay Teen Worried He Might Be Christian
LOUISVILLE, KY—At first glance, high school senior Lucas Faber, 18, seems like any ordinary gay teen. He's a member of his school's swing choir, enjoys shopping at the mall, and has sex with other males his age. But lately, a growing worry has begun to plague this young gay man. A gnawing feeling that, deep down, he may be a fundamentalist, right-wing Christian. -Link to Article here
hahahahahahahahahahahaha. This article had me rolling, figuratively of course. It's funny to me because people don't think that their worldview isnt as ridiculous from the outside looking in. Oh it is great, like how people think that somebody who is gay is less than a person. Asinine I tell ya.
But for more articles following the theme of satire, please continue reading.
"said study co-author Lance Zelowski, who predicted that by mid-century, the inner core’s year-round temperature of 9,700 degrees Fahrenheit and its pressure of 3.5 million atmospheres would make it the most attractive location on the planet in which to live, work, and raise a family."
Aha---ahahaha, hahahahahahahaha. It'll be great, it'll be fun, it'll make all those inner earth theories sound less crazy......good thing its Bullsh!* right?
#3. Damon Wayans Defends Bill Cosby, Calls ‘Bitches’ ‘Un-rape-able’
During an interview with radio station Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” on Friday, actor Damon Wayans said that he doesn’t believe Bill Cosby is a rapist. Rather, he believes all 51 women who have come forward with stories of being drugged and molested or raped by Cosby were actually in relationships with him. The man noble enough to date those “un-rape-able” women—sorry, “bitches”—is only guilty of being unable to “get it up,” says the star of Farce of the Penguins. --Taken our of context here
WOW............... I mean this is taken COMPLETELY out of context. I read the article and listneded to his actual clip of these alleged remarks and I have to say that what he said isnt what it sounded like, if you can believe that. I think he was saying (and this is my WWF argument), that it's funny how these girls waited sooooooo long to decided they got raped. I mean that's already a touchy statement because rape victims tend to stay quiet until something give them strength, like others coming out and admitting that the same things happened to them, but I don't know. I think I can understand what he means with whats he is saying. He definitely isn't being PC about his opinion which I respect but I feel that less than objective folks will have a field day with his words like when Clint Eastwood made his chair analogy.
#4. Nazi-Saluting Cop Plans to Sue for Defamation of Character
“The picture speaks for itself,” Mott told the Lafayette ABC affiliate. “I’m standing at a rally against illegal immigration. There’s not much to be said about the picture. I’ve never denied it was me.”
#5. You Really Don’t Know Who People Are Until You Make A Vicious Snap Judgment About Them
"People can be tricky to read sometimes. Often, just when you think you’ve got someone all figured out, they throw you a curveball and you realize you don’t have a clue. I guess human nature is complex like that. So what are we to do? Well, if there’s one thing I’ve discovered over the years, it’s that you can never really know a person until you make a vicious snap judgment about their character." -Click here for more.
#6. Man’s Body Running Out Of Ideas To Convince Him He Full

#6. Scientists Confident Artificially Intelligent Machines Can Be Programmed To Be Lenient Slave Masters
"At a press conference, members of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence sought to reassure critics that humans could create machines that, despite their near-limitless computational power, would demonstrate at least a degree of compassion once they assumed total control of civilization."
