We are getting a SPACE BALLS sequel! 

Seemingly out of friggin NOWHERE this bombshell dropped today and boy the internet isa BUZZING! MY man Mel Brooks is like 98 and still banging em out! It's quite impressive, but not only THAT but RICK MORANIS is coming out of retirement to reprise his role which is freaking uber EPIC. I mean this is just feel-good news in my book, Space Balls has ALWAYS had a special place in my heart, along with MANY Mel Brooks films. I love spoofs, I love Star Wars, I love John Candy, and this movie has all of that and more! I can keepp rambling and talking in circles but the fact of the matter is that it's REALLY happening!

SPACE BALLS 2: The search for more MONEY

There have been rumors for YEARS now about the prospect of a sequel to Space Balls but I don't think we ever really got concrete confirmation. I could absolutely be wrong TBF, but I feel like if this was officially announced already I'd have heard about it, read about it, or nerded out with a buddy over it. I'll be honest, I can't always stay on TOP of pop culture news and hollywood productions nearly as much as I used to be able to but I still try to stay decently informed boyhowdy...

So those who haven't watched the VIDEOS or read about the buzz already here's what we know:

- Amazon MGM Studios has scheduled Spaceballs 2 for a theatrical release sometime in 2027

- Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman, and Mel Brooks are all reprising their roles

- That's .....thjat's about it because it's basically ONLY been announced. No plot, no actual release date, no title..... just excitement
