The fifth Avengers film is shaping up to be EPIC. With everything hanging in the balance it's either going to be REALLY good or it's going to be complete dookie poo (Bantha poodoo if you will). Even more importantly it will feature the return of the X-Men (making their official debut in the MCU) as well as stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden shoot even Channing Tatum is getting in on the action. ON TOP OF THAT Kevin Feige has confirmed they haven’t revealed the entire cast yet, teasing more announcements in the future (hopefully sooner than later).
The Lateest casting rumors include (but never limited to): Deadpool, Peggy Carter, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and fingers crossed my boy STEVE ROGERS... But you know who ISN'T going to be in DOOMSDAY? ......Spoiler Alert: Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). And that's what we are here to talk aboot.
So.......During a recent interview (at The Breakfast Club Morning Show) JR opened up about his recovery from the 2023 snowplow accident that almost cost him his life. When asked about his potential involvement in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars to which Renner confirmed that he won’t be reprising in the next Avengers movies. He went on to reveal that he’s actually “pretty busy” with other projects at the moment (his words).
When the host (Charlamagne tha God) made a joke about him being "afraid that Marvel Studios could just introduce a new Hawkeye from another dimension because the franchise is now in its Multiverse phase", Renner laughed and retorted that the "studio can go ahead with that plan if that’s what they want. Yeah. There you go,” Renner responded. “If they want to do that, they can go ahead. By all means, you can do that. I’m pretty busy myself.”
Let us not forget that some of the original AVENGERS are beefing with the studio over their contracts (with disney being notoriously shiesty lately on MCY projects.....so much so the VFX community has black listed working for them. Explaining the current lack of CGI quality)
So there you have it...... Jeremy Renner is a lovely gem and wonderful addition to this movie, the tema heck even the franchise but for the time being he will not being suiting up and shooting arrows. Leave that one to Kate Bishop
