Howwwwww Nifty: Wintergatan

Starting off this article with a tease, a sizzle, a taste if you will….. this is simply a pianist reacting to WINTERGATAN (which, if I’m being honest…… not sure if that’s the artist or the machine—maybe both?). I discovered this channel yesterday and went down a rabbit whole and I must say: I’m impressed. While I was perusing this content I also came across a video of Mark Rober and a talking piano, literally, but that’s another subject for another day… in the meantime CONTINUE READING for the low down

Hamburger helping spittin' that April Fool's day game....... but not with a prank, with an awesome stunt. They dropped a legit rap album in the spirit of 'Weird Al.' Complete with at least 5 tracks (maybe more if you go through soundcloud) of ham meltin, cheeze spillin' goodness.  Watch out yo, This is 'Parental Advisory- Delicious Content' real shit right here. Happy April Fool's Day!

Now that F&*kin Metal: Band to play in air-tight, and sound-proof box until out of oxygen

How F$&kin metal can people get? Answer: SUPER F%*kin Metal!

Portuguese artist João Onofre and UK band 'Unfathomable Ruination' will be playing in an airtight, soundproofed box until they can't play anymore.

"This is the first time that João Onofre’s work, Box sized DIE featuring Unfathomable Ruination, 2007 – 2014 has come to London, having toured extensively through Europe at venues including Palais de Tokyo and MACBA. Influenced by Tony Smith’s pioneering minimalist sculpture Die (1962), the steel box serves as a mobile location for performance. In each location the sculpture travels to, Onofre invites a local Death Metal band to play, on this occasion Unfathomable Ruination. The box is soundproofed, determining and restricting the performance’s duration to the length of time in which the oxygen is expended. Outside the cube, viewers observe its strange vibrations, only viewing the band’s entrance and exit to the performance space."

One time I was listening to a SModcast  (that's a Kevin Smith/ Scott Mosier podcast for those out of the 'know' ..linx) and They brought on K Smith's good friend (and Manager of Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash) Walt and he said the most metal thing he ever did was send Wayne Gacy a donation for a painting. This ain't got $h!t on Ruination though, I gotta be honest. Either way.... continue reading for the link to the article.

Sacred Geometry, a universal language: In music

One of the major reasons Leonardo Da Vinci studied Sacred Geometry was because of it versatility in knowledge. It can be applied to most subjects including, physics, math (or anything involving numbers), and even archeology!
Further proving this connection was a website I stumbled across and wanted to share it.
This is what's known as the 'Circle of Fifths' in music theory. See how Metatron's cube can be applied to this HERE

If this sort of thing interests you or if you're curious (or just bored) then by all means, go on....continue reading.....

Another day another Useless youtube video: Party all the time

So who hasn't heard Eddie Murphy's (really it's Rick James as performed by Eddie Murphy but thats a debate) 'hit' single PARTY ALL THE TIME. Thats shit came out circa 1985, when I was still just a twinkle in the eye, and it's been causing all sorts of verbs to reality.

Sidenote: I found PATT on vinyl at a record store for $.99, and I scooped that sweet deal up because why not! Double sidenote: I bought Dio's Holy Diver on vinyl for $.99 in the same trip, and that REALLY was awesome. ("Cool story bro").

ANYWAYS watch this funny tribute/mash-up to PArty all the time and laugh at the Rick James Coc scene
