This just in: Sand Dunes Eating Mos Espa! Read all about it

Nobody would EVER admit to liking Star Wars Episode 1 (which in itself is a 'Phantom Menace' for the series), that's a given. Not you, not me, not your grandma, and not even George Lucas' Daughter for whom he created Jar-Jar...
HOWEVER this news is pressing and important and must be spread to any and all Star Wars fans out there because... why not...But Here we go:

The Set for Mos Espa (Anakin's hometown), located in Tunisia by the way (incase you wanted to travel there) is a ticking time-bomb with mother nature being the culprit. Continue reading for more info on dat shiznit (how wude)

"According to CNN, there's a clock on this lone tourist attraction, as the desert's sand dunes are moving to engulf the alien settlement from every side. A team of scientists have been tracking the movement of one of those sand dunes, which has already started taking over the set. Moving at a rate of 4cm per day, it won't be too long before Mos Espa is buried completely.

The sand dune is a major loss for Tunisia, which packs carloads of tourists each day and drives them out to visit the abandoned film set. As CNN notes, trips have even been included in hotel vacation packages, and it's one of the few great boons in the region that draws visitors into the baking-hot Sahara sun."

Yup.... There ya have it. It is bittersweet.
On one hand mother nature is removing evidence of a travesty in the greatest franchise EVER created (as far as I'm concerned at least....TAKE THAT, BIAS!). Then On the other hand, a priceless and timeless piece of Star Wars history is going to be lost forever. If visiting this set is something that you've been putting off do yourself a favor and get off your ass and go before it is too late. While you're at it so see the Mona Lisa, and the Sistene Chapel.... And get well educated in science so you can contribute to solving world problems instead of being a consumer... or don't, you're choice and not mine.. yet!
