I want to state that I LOOOVED The Amazing Spider-Man (and it was significantly better than the S%&tstorm we call Spider-Man 3) and I very much enjoyed the direction that they're taking the film. So naturally I like reading updates about TASM2, you know.....like Stuff about Paul Giamatti being Rhino n such.... anyways.... TASM2 launched a Tumblr not-too-long ago and last week it was updated. Continue reading for more info on that. If you don't want to continue reading I've posted a synopsis for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 below.. Enjoy!

Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away – but that's a promise he just can't keep. First launched during Comic-Con International this past summer,The Amazing Spider-Man 2's viral Tumblr feed has today been updated with the below article, "Oscorp Biz Holds Steady," from the faux The Daily Bugle's Joy Mercado. It suggests that we'll be seeing Spencer Smythe in the big screen sequel who, in the comics, invents the deadly "Spider-Slayer" robots that prove a menace to the webhead. The full text of the article reads as follows:
"Despite the assault on Oscorp Tower two weeks ago and the revelation that disgruntled Oscorp employee, Dr. Curt Connors, was responsible for the attack, Oscorp’s stock has climbed four points.Oscorp spokesman Douglas Menken provided some details from the meeting, including that the construction on the prototype alternative energy power plant, complete with hydroelectric tower, is on schedule for completion within the next year. Other highlights included a preview of a flight harness for the military and significant advancements in robotics by the head of the engineering division, Spencer Smythe. Oscorp personnel dismissed questions regarding Norman Osborn’s health and whether the company’s estranged heir apparent, Harry Osborn, is up to the task of running his father’s conglomerate. Menken stated, “Between the disappearance of Dr. Rajit Ratha, the rogue actions of a very unstable former employee and Norman Osborn’s health concerns, everyone in the media will cry the sky is falling, but just the opposite is true. While everyone else ducks for cover, Oscorp is always reaching for the stars.”
