Fingers crossed its just 'DRIVE' in space-- Ryan Gosling joins the Star Wars universe

Disney/Lucasfilm announced yesterday the official details for Shawn Levy's Star Wars movie, which stars MY BOY.....Ryan Gosling. so now we got:

 The title, release date, and plot. Which im suuuuuuuuuuper jazzed about. If you know anything about me you know I got a man crush on Ryan Gosling and objectively also think he is a very talented actor. Lost River is a great modern day fairy tale but that has nothing to do with this. This is Star Wars

Production on the highly anticipated project is expected to begin sometime this fall. Now officially titled Star Wars: Starfighter, the movie is described as a stand-alone adventure that will take place five years after the events of 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker. According to the studio, “it is an entirely new adventure featuring all-new characters set in a period of time that has not been explored on screen yet.”-source: Superherohype.com

Star Wars celebration is in full swing and as I mentioned yesterday, We got 2 projects to talk about! 

THIS and the Darth Maul series. So hyped let's dive into it..........

FIRST OFF! This movie is post Episode 9 whattttttttttttttt We havent seen that yet!!!!!! Takes place after the battle of Exogul (or ON exogul....whatever, semantics). It was after they rocked Sheev's Jaw and gave him the boot...again, but we also know it has a NEW Star Fighter!!!! So that's exciting, new era, new ships and it is just fabulous

Star Wars: Starfighter has now been scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 28, 2027. At the moment, it currently has no direct box office competition on the day of its release. However, it will be debuting in the same month as Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Secret Wars. “The reality is that this script is just so good. It has such a great story with great and original characters,” Gosling said during the project’s official announcement at the recent Star Wars Celebration panel in Tokyo. “It’s filled with so much heart and adventure, and there just really is not a more perfect filmmaker for this particular story than Shawn.” -source: Superherohype.com

The only part I'm disappointed in is the "plot" part and it is not because the story stinks or anything involving substance-- It's because they stated they were going to discuss plot but never really did as far as I can tell. They, in the most vague sense possible, gave us a tease on what to expect "will take place five years after the events of 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker." but in no way shape or form would I consider that touching on the plot. That's what I would call a setting. Oh well, it's also possible it was said somewhere else IE another clip or interview or article and maybe I missed it *shrugs* oh well. If that's the case I'll happenstance by it eventually then fill you all in!
