While I'm at it: Unpublished Article #2...... My synopsis of Dawn of the Dudes Episode 1

This Article was written back in 2012 also. I wanted to promote my Short-Film/Episodic serial- Dawn of the Dudes. I have 2 episodes to date...well 3 technically. The first Dawn of the Dudes was a Pilot episode that showcased my super amateur film making status..... That was filmed in 2009 and re-shot in 2010. But THIS one.... THIS Episode is still amateur and still cheesy but I'm still proud of it.... but without Further Ado....

A group of band mates move into a new house for a fresh start but supernatural forces may hinder their plans of moving forward

Our Story starts off with our heroes: The "Dudes." Sitting in their basement on their new house with new adventures waiting on the horizon. They've got a problem though- They've been in a funk since losing "Clash of the Titans" (a battle of the bands contest at a state-wide music festival) and can't write any new material. This is frustrating to Ryan as he is the bands' manager (and drummer) and also an aspiring musician. Derek and Nathan just want to drink and work and live life so they're not too concerned with the lack of progress assuring themselves "you can't rush art."

Part 1:

Just as things seem hopeless and unlikely person makes an appearance: Tobais Evans, The Dudes' new neighbor (well one of them at least). He wanted to stop by and welcome the Dudes to the neighborhood and give them a present but was rudely received and denied by Nathan and Ryan. This prompts him (on the other side of s slammed-closed door) to privy the Dudes to some inside information on their house- that it's "haunted."

That night Nathan gets a eerie visit from a cheesy, grotesque, entity that he is convinced is a ghost. The next morning when he tries to discuss this with the boys over breakfast he is met with ridicule and cynicism which prompts him to take action and do some research. While the library contains information on ghosts and ghost sightings, Nathan is having a hard time convincing Ryan that everything isn't just in his head. As the week goes by Nathan is visited a few more times by his unwelcome guest and Ryan begins to get more frustrated.

Culminating in a supernatural lesson-in-respect-gone-wrong (foiled unintentionally by Derek), it is revealed that this ghostly dressed figure is none other than Tobias! He explains he decided to teach our heroes a lesson after receiving a "cold shoulder" welcome visit and is remorseful in his actions. Luckily The Dudes' are ones to forgive (not always forget) and all is water under bridge before too long, and Ryan even learned a valuable lesson from this ordeal. The best part of it all is this: That whole little escapade with a haunting mixed with Derek's girlfriend troubles= A new song for the band!
