The VelociPastor 2 takes inspiration from schlocky B-movies to create a horror comedy for the ages. and much like Brendan Steere's first movie (which was released in 2019 mind you)   Judging by what we just saw.......It appears the 'Italian giallo' has been a major inspiration for the film, as it's packed with striking colors, awesomely bold aesthetic and a dash of the psychosexual. Honestly, I’m surprised that corporate America didn’t win, but it turns out the Japanese legal system may have slightly more integrity than our broken a** legal system. You know for a game that in and of itself was a concept stolen from like three other games. I always find it funny when Nintendo decides to litigate on Pokémon‘s behalf, due to either something created by fans or some game that has taken their idea and improved upon it. Let’s be honest Pokémon games really haven’t tried for the last 10 years to innovate or do anything super groundbreaking. Throwback Thursday: A look back on 'STRANDBEEST'

 

So.....way back in this Blog's infancy, and in my mid twenties I wrote and Article about 'STRAND BEEST' which is an inorganic life/artform powered by wind. IT IS SUPER COOL and METAL AF in my opinion. Well I was randomly surfing and thought about thaat for the first time in YEARS. Artist Theo Jansen started this project in the late 80s and it was grown and evolved over the last few decades. I remember originally finding about him randomly from a STUMBLEPUPON video I saw of one of his creations. Blew me away, the elegance of movement and the fact that it was wind powered immediately had me hooked. But yeah.... that's my pitch, decided to recycle this article because Theo is still hard at work and I would love to help tell his story to as many people as possible.

SO in a move nobody asked for on a sequel nobody really wanted it turns out that........well.......... There's a 4th BILL AND TED on the way. um..... ok? Happy Birthday champ: Halo ODST turns 16 today

 

Boy we got a lot of Halo love coming out the wood work lately and I guess we are just gonna keep it going….. On this day, 16 years ago, This gem came out and man did it change the landscape of halo. The story, the gameplay, the style of the campaign, halos first horse mode…..I mean we had some good times in the lobbies of this one. Truly a remarkable experience through and through. I have a play through Halo in honor of HALO REACH but I just may have to add this guy into the mix as well, it’s another GOAT
