Again.... doing my daily perusing of movie/entertainment updates/news/information/what-ever-you-call-it I came across yet another interesting tid-bit that I'd like to share (I've had a lot of freetime today... it is X-mas EVE after all so NO WORK TODAY! woohoo) and it comes in the snowy christmas form of pretty much nothing!
Now since I did such a good job building up the anticipation I will continue.
ABC and Marvel have released a little teaser image to remind us that January 7th you can watch the 11th episode of the first season of this witty little drama from Joss Whedon (see how I shamelessly plugged it as well....BOOYA!)

We all knew it and were just waiting for confirmation: Vin Diesel is Groot! (finally!)
I was just reading an article over at superherohype.com (you know....the source of 90% of my movie info) and apparently Marvel just confirmed what all of us already had a firm handle on: Vin Diesel is officially playing GROOT the tree/alien/guardian of the galaxy. Speculation has hit the internet in the last few months and reports popped up about Diesel trying out stunt-stilt-work on the FAST & FURIOUS set. Also..... for you internet detectives out there: Last week the teaser trailer for 'Guardians of the Galaxy' leaked online. I managed to save it on my computer thanks to KEEPVID.com but I'm not going to compromise this blog and upload it but if you do enough digging I'm sure you can find it too! if not....you just SOL, sorry. I agreee with this... mostly: 9 Movies That Made More Sense if You Followed the Viral Marketing
I just stumbled across an interesting article at IO9.com about a list on 9 movies whose viral-marketing campaign flesh out the stories (in some cases...better than the main narrative itself: the movie). For those who don't know what Viral-Marketing is I'll attach a brief description (according to wikipedia.org):
marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networking services and other technologies to produce increases in brand awareness or to achieve other marketing objectives (such as product sales) through self-replicating viral processes, analogous to the spread of viruses or computer viruses (cf. Internet memes and memetics). It can be delivered by word of mouth or enhanced by the network effects of the Internet and mobile networks.[1] Viral marketing may take the form of video clips, interactive Flash games, advergames, ebooks, brandable software, images, text messages, email messages, or web pages. The most commonly utilized transmission vehicles for viral messages include: pass-along based, incentive based, trendy based, and undercover based. However, the creative nature of viral marketing enables an "endless amount of potential forms and vehicles the messages can utilize for transmission", including mobile devices.[2]

Ben Stein you're the man! (and not because I want YOUR money!)
I just want to repost this from a post I saw on my news feed VIA FB (yeah, yeah I know....sorry..get over it now) so I'd just like to take a second and share.
Apparently the White House referred to Christmas Trees as Holiday Trees for the first time this year, which prompted CBS presenter, Ben Stein, to present this piece which I would like to share with you.
The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.
My confession:
I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejewelled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.
It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a nativity scene, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.
I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.
Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.
In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.
Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'
In light of recent events... terrorist attacks, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.
Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay.
Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.
Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.
Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.
Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.
Are you laughing yet?
Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.
Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.
Pass it on if you think it has merit.
If not, then just discard it.... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what a bad shape the world is in.
My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully,
Ben Stein

Why is Tom Cruise becoming my new favorite Sci-Fi Actor: Another great Tom Cruise movie (potentially)- Edge of Tomorrow trailer
So Tom Cruise is making a comeback since his scientologist being crazy/meltdown a WHIIIIIIIIIIILE back. He's divorced Katie Holmes (not his choice believe me......see the 'crazy' thing again) and started hitting the films with intensity....
Oblivion came out..... it blew my mind and reminded me of how small I am in the grand scheme of things. It was refreshing, and it was admirable. The movie succeeded (in my opinion at least) in what it set out to do: make your think and also blow your mind with the visuals (see Tron: Legacy if you liked this movie)

You need to KEEPVID this now before it gets taken down: Dark Crystal (super creepy) Director's cut
Superherohype.com had an article referencing this..... apparently somebody decided to add in all the original stuff the studios made Jim Hensen leave out
Though you probably saw The Dark Crystal as a kid, and you possibly still bring it up whenever someone is just trying to mention something about Legend or Labyrinth, it turns out you've never seen the version Frank Oz and Jim Henson intended. Their original cut apparently didn't test well with audiences, and the studio rightly worried it was a pretty confusing, freaky thing to show to children. So, like when they were forced to tone down Snuffleupagus's swaying scrotum, Oz and Henson had to concede to tame their creation. Among other changes, they recut and redubbed the film, adding expository voice-overs and changing the Skeksis voices from a bizarre, made-up language to English, preventing those guy from just being absolute terrors.

$150...a little pricey but we're onto something here: Portable hydrogen-cell charger
I was doing my usual stumbling when I came across this bad boy from the lovely folks at POPULARSCIENCE (you know....that one place where I constantly cite articles and other peculiar things....)
"A single Hydrogen Reactor cartridge carries a week’s worth of smartphone power—more juice than any other portable source. When a user inserts one of the 3-inch cartridges into the Reactor, a catalyst frees electrons from hydrogen. The freed electrons move into a circuit that delivers power to gadgets over USB. The remaining hydrogen reacts with oxygen to produce the process’s only byproduct: water vapor."
I swear I'm not doing a product plug.... I just find this nifty. As time progresses this will only get cheaper and more refined. HUZZAH!
-Sincerely,
ME
(Thanks Caffeine!)
It's the Brunton Hydrogen Reactor (which i'm sure doesn't live up to the name, but owning a hydrogen reacto..ANDDD it's portable.... double bonus)

“[W]e wanted people to come out of Avengers saying The Hulk was their favorite character or at least one [sic] of their favorites. The fact that it did happen, was awesome. So, you know, all of the effort related to Hulk right know is going to Age of Ultron. HOWEVER this news is pressing and important and must be spread to any and all Star Wars fans out there because... why not...But Here we go:
The Set for Mos Espa (Anakin's hometown), located in Tunisia by the way (incase you wanted to travel there) is a ticking time-bomb with mother nature being the culprit. Continue reading for more info on dat shiznit (how wude)

I want to state that I LOOOVED The Amazing Spider-Man (and it was significantly better than the S%&tstorm we call Spider-Man 3) and I very much enjoyed the direction that they're taking the film. So naturally I like reading updates about TASM2, you know.....like Stuff about Paul Giamatti being Rhino n such.... anyways.... TASM2 launched a Tumblr not-too-long ago and last week it was updated. Continue reading for more info on that. If you don't want to continue reading I've posted a synopsis for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 below.. Enjoy!
In the film, Peter Parker (Garfield), is finding that life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away – but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson Slams 'Gravity'
I know it's a few weeks fashionably late but I just came across this article from PopularScience were Neil DeGrasse Tyson (pictured above looking stlyin') went on Twitter after seeing the "movie" and proceeded to rip it a new one.......only to wrap up with the ever so shifty "I still enjoyed it" or some BS (I paraphrased that quote BTW). Continue reading for NERDY information on EXACTLY how inaccurate (scientifically) a movie is....who woulda thought that works of fiction were fake?

No Conspiracies here but.... You're pretty F%u@k*d humanity: A List of unethical Human Experiements conducted in the U.S.
I figured that I'd best start by quoting the final Line on THIS wikipedia page:
"As of 2007, not a single U.S. government researcher had been prosecuted for human experimentation, and many of the victims of U.S. government experiments have not received compensation, or in many cases, acknowledgment of what was done to them."
If this sort of thing interests you then Continue reading on..... I cannot force you to see what I see or believe what I believe but I can leave a trail of dots for you to connect....

Here it is: My opinion of Dexter's Final episode
So I've been watching Dexter since the beginning of season 5.
As you may or may not know.... Dexter Ended this year...
If you haven't seen the last season DO NOT CONTINUE READING. I'm about to spoil the $h!t out of it and I don't want you to get caught up in this if you haven't watched it for yourself.

Sacred Geometry, a universal language: In music
One of the major reasons Leonardo Da Vinci studied Sacred Geometry was because of it versatility in knowledge. It can be applied to most subjects including, physics, math (or anything involving numbers), and even archeology!
Further proving this connection was a website I stumbled across and wanted to share it.
This is what's known as the 'Circle of Fifths' in music theory. See how Metatron's cube can be applied to this HERE

I just signed the Petition to have the 'Empire State' building lit TARDIS blue to celebrate Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary (you should too)
DOCTOR WHO is a sci-fi show that has been on the air for almost 50 years. This is awesome.....
This is also why somebody has started a Petition on Change.org to have the Empire State building lit up with a shade of blue matching the Show's Time-traveling vessel: A 1960's PoliceBox (not phone booth, There IS a difference)
Either way... as of my my signing the petition had a little over 29,000 signatures. HURRAY!

Now originally I read this off of GEEKOLIGIE'S website
so I'd like to give them credit for putting 'me' in the 'know' (I just love excessive usage of --> ' <--these)Either way... as of my my signing the petition had a little over 29,000 signatures. HURRAY!
I fell off the Wagon, now I'm back on...or something like that:
Yeah..... That's right... I'm back and it's Food related!
I stumbled across (whilst stumbling of course!) this receipt and this website and have already made a few things off the list!
My next project is to make some of these bad boys!
Are you interested?
Do you enjoy cooking?
Currently suffering the munchies (or just 'high' in general and doing some web surfing)?
Then this sounds/looks/read-with-text like it could be right up your alley!

Business and Psychology: The Science of Food and Texture!
In a startling (but unsurprising) turn of events... It seems the food service industry will be Eyeing aspects of HOW we eat and the WAY we do it as well.
I was grilling some stir-fry today for a customer and she brought this article to my attention and in turn I'm doing the same!

You're Either stupid or trying to kill yourself...great Job!: Woman Drinks Coke Instead Of Water For 16 Years
So..... just came across a fascinating article (while perusing the POPSCi articles) and it doesn't even surprise me one bit:
Yup....smart decision..... read on to lose a sense of shame (I religiously consume milk though so I got no room to judge.....even though milk is all natural and ISN'T used as insecticide in some 3rd world countries. DONT BELIEVE ME.. HERE)
A 31-year-old Monaco woman was recently admitted to the hospital after suffering arrhythmia and fainting spells. Her potassium levels were found to be absurdly, dangerously low. These are bad warning signs, but the woman had no family history of heart problems. Further investigation revealed that the patient had not had a sip of water in 16 years; instead she drank only cola.

My first Post Back from the Dead: And it's about Pooping and Menstruation (take that tight asses)
I've been without Internet since Thursday and it's been a lot of things. At first it was frustrating because, let's face it, we are all becoming addicted/dependent/whatever-you-want-to-call-it on technology but after a day or two the 'itch' went away. Not to mention the little fact that I spent Friday thru Sunday (literally from the time I woke up to the time I layed down) Packing/Unpacking Moving and rearranging my whole life because I moved into an apartment with my longtime Girlfriend (8 years longtime.... BOOYA! I lover her) Nancy. Without going into the details on that (and yes it actually IS going smooth and it IS relatively perfect) I can say that it is just marvelous.
I know I've been gone and I know you may or may not care, but I'm BACK and that's all that matters, so let's get into it:
FYI: Why Do I Poop More When I Have My Period?
(Thanks to POPULARSCIENCE's website for posting this ARTICLE. I needed that)
Continue reading on if this interests you (you might as well....you've invested this much)
