In this new installment of a FREAKY themed post I'll be dropping articles and information of things :supernatural, scientific, fringe scientific, pseudo scientific, controversial, sometimes conspiracy themed, or just chilling. I'll try to stick away from aliens and NWO conspiracies as much as possible don't worry. (Although conspiracies at worst make for interesting stories and even more often....movie plots!)
So in that Spirit here we go!
Alan Weisman has done a great lob with this website. It demonstrates that we aren't as damaging as we think (we are even so arrogant that we assume that the world will wither and die after we've killed ourselves off) , and better yet the world would recover remarkably faster than you'd think. Within 50 years we would already see a dramatic positive increase in the planets ecosystems and such. The chart that I want to share with you demonstrates some aspects our of culture and technology and how the absence of us affects them. One thing I never considered: In the likely event of our species demise it would only take about a week for our nuclear reactors to run out of reserve fuel for the cooling towers....YIKES can you say global meltdown.
on a sidenote: I absolutely love the subtle and ironic beauty in structures that have begun to be retaken by nature. It is inspiring how much life prevails when you give it a chance.
